The anti-static film cleaners work with an electronic bipolar ionization system. This direct current system generates positive and negative ions. These neutralize the static charge. Dust and lint are largely removed by the four soft anti-static brushes. The rest is done by the fan, which sucks the loose particles into the built-in filter. Thus, all impurities remain in the device.
